Rachel Zucker is the author of nine books, most recently The Pedestrians (Wave Books, 2014) and MOTHERs (Counterpath Press, 2014), a memoir combining poetry and prose. An NEA Fellow and National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist, she teaches at New York University.
Charlie Wright, Publisher of Wave Books, established the Bagley Wright Lecture Series on Poetry (BWLS) in memory of his late father, the businessman and philanthropist Bagley Wright. The Series is spearheaded by Charlie Wright and Wave Books editor Matthew Zapruder. The BWLS is a nonprofit that provides leading poets with the opportunity to explore in-depth their own thinking on the subject of poetry and poetics, and through financial and logistical support, to arrange for the delivery of several lectures that result from these investigations.
Sponsored by the New Writers Project and the Harry Ransom Center.
This event is free and open to the public.
